Balance and Fall Prevention
The only exercise intervention proven to reduce falls by nearly a quarter
Who it’s for
Ages 65 and older, experiencing unsteadiness while walking or a history of falls.
How it works
Balance training and functional movements plus leg strength. According to a review of 108 studies with over 23,000 participants, this type of exercise reduces fall rates by 23%, and balance exercises specifically by 24%. It is the only recommendation in the WHO guideline for older adults with the highest level of evidence. Floor get-ups are practiced separately: knowing how to get up is more important than knowing how not to fall.
Weekly layout
How load increases
Narrow the base of support: double-leg stance → narrow stance → single-leg → single-leg eyes closed. Then remove hand support. Add weight only after stability is solid.
Deload
Every sixth week: no weight, coordination only.
Tailored to your health
