Wrist Roller
ForearmsWrist Roller
The wrist roller builds total forearm stamina and grip endurance by winding a weighted rope up and down to hit both flexors and extensors.
How to do it
1Stand tall, grab the roller with an overhand grip, and hold it out in front of you.
2Alternately roll your wrists forward to wind the rope and raise the weight.
3Keep rolling until the weight reaches the top roller.
4Slowly reverse the rotation to lower the weight back down under control.
Common mistakes
Bending your elbows, which shifts work to your biceps and shoulders.
Letting the weight drop quickly, skipping the eccentric strength phase.
Swinging your body to cheat the movement and relieve forearm tension.
Breathing
Breathe steadily and rhythmically throughout the rolling motion.
Make it harder or easier
Make it easier by resting your elbows or holding the roller low; make it harder by holding the bar straight out at shoulder height.
This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
