Dynamic Wall Push-Off
Chest, Shoulders, TricepsWall
A dynamic wall push-up variation that gently strengthens the chest, shoulders, and triceps while building power and joint stability.
How to do it
1Stand facing a wall a step away and place your hands slightly wider than shoulder-width.
2Maintain a straight line from head to heels, keeping your core braced.
3Bend your elbows at roughly 45 degrees, lowering your chest toward the wall.
4Explosively push off the wall with a quick, controlled motion.
5Catch yourself softly as you return to the wall, avoiding harsh impacts.
Common mistakes
Letting your lower back arch and hips sag, turning off your core stabilizers.
Flaring your elbows straight out to the sides, putting unnecessary stress on your shoulders.
Lifting your heels off the floor and losing foot stability.
Breathing
Inhale as you lower toward the wall; exhale as you push off.
Make it harder or easier
To make it easier, stand closer to the wall to lessen the body incline.
To make it harder, step further away or do dynamic push-offs one arm at a time.
This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
