TRX Triceps Press
TricepsTRX Suspension Trainer
Bodyweight isolation exercise for the triceps. Strengthens the back of your arms and improves shoulder control.
How to do it
1Stand facing away from the TRX anchor and extend your arms forward with hands around forehead height.
2Lean your straight body forward, locking your elbows in fixed position and keeping your core engaged.
3Bend at the elbows to smoothly lower your body until your hands reach your temples.
4Press through your hands to extend your arms, pushing your body back to the start using your triceps.
5Keep your elbows tucked and pointing forward throughout the entire set.
Common mistakes
Flaring your elbows out to the sides, shifting tension to chest and shoulders.
Bending at the hips, which removes resistance from the triceps.
Dropping your shoulders with your elbows, turning the exercise into a standard push-up.
Breathing
Inhale as you bend your elbows; exhale as you fully extend your arms back out.
This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
