TRX T-Plank

TRX T-Plank

Core, Obliques, ShouldersTRX Suspension Trainer

An advanced suspended plank variation with a torso rotation into a T-position. Strengthens deep core muscles, obliques, and shoulder stability.

How to do it

1Put your feet in the TRX foot cradles and press up into a straight-arm plank.
2Maintain a straight line from head to heels by squeezing your abs and glutes.
3Shift your weight to one hand, rotating your torso to open your chest and reach the top arm up.
4Hold the side T-plank position for a second while maintaining your balance.
5Rotate back down to the center plank and repeat on the opposite side.

Common mistakes

Arching your lower back or letting your hips sag while holding the plank.
Rotating too fast or aggressively, making you lose balance in the straps.
Sinking into your supporting shoulder joint or straining your neck.

Breathing

Breathe rhythmically; exhale as you rotate up into the side T-plank and inhale as you return to center.

Make it harder or easier

To simplify, drop down to a forearm plank. To intensify, hold the T-position for 3–4 seconds per side.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
