TRX Standing Low Row

TRX Standing Low Row

Lats, BicepsTRX Suspension Trainer

A bodyweight rowing movement using TRX suspension trainers that targets the lats and biceps. Changing your body angle lets you easily scale the resistance up or down.

How to do it

1Grab the TRX handles, face the anchor point, and lean back until your arms are straight.
2Lock your body into a straight line from head to heels and brace your core.
3Drive your elbows back past your torso and pull your chest to the handles, squeezing your shoulder blades together.
4Hold the top contraction for a second without shrugging your shoulders up.
5Lower yourself back down under complete control until your arms fully extend.

Common mistakes

Arching your lower back or letting your hips sag breaks core engagement and strains your lower back.
Kicking or surging your hips to bounce up takes tension off your back.
Shrugging your shoulders toward your ears overworks your upper traps and neck.

Breathing

Exhale as you pull your body up, and inhale as you lower back down.

Make it harder or easier

To make it easier, step backward to stand more upright; to make it harder, step your feet forward closer to the anchor point.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
