TRX Sprinter Start

quads, glutes, hamstrings, absTRX Suspension Trainer

Mimicking a sprinter's start from a standing position, this unilateral exercise targets the legs and core. It builds balance, coordination, and single-leg strength in the quads and glutes.

How to do it

1Stand facing away from the anchor point, running the straps under your arms while holding the handles.
2Lean forward with a flat back, placing weight on your lead leg and extending the back leg on your toes.
3Lower into a lunge, bending your front knee to 90 degrees.
4Explode off your front foot to stand tall, driving your rear knee up and forward.
5Smoothly step back into the lunge while keeping tension on the straps and your chest up.

Common mistakes

Rounding your back as you hinge forward, placing excessive strain on your spine.
Letting your front knee cave inward, placing the joint in a vulnerable position.
Staying too upright, which reduces glute engagement.

Breathing

Inhale as you lower into the lunge, and exhale forcefully as you drive up.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
