TRX Side Plank Hip Dip

TRX Side Plank Hip Dip

Obliques, GlutesTRX Suspension Trainer

A dynamic side plank variation with your feet suspended. Effectively strengthens the obliques and hip stabilizers while challenging your balance.

How to do it

1Place your feet in the TRX straps and lie on your side, supporting yourself on your forearm with your elbow under your shoulder.
2Drive your hips up until your body forms a straight line from shoulders to feet.
3Slowly lower your bottom hip toward the floor under control, without touching down.
4Engage your obliques and glutes to lift your hips back to the top position.
5Finish your set, then switch sides and repeat.

Common mistakes

Twisting your torso forward or backward, taking tension off the target obliques.
Sagging into your supporting shoulder, putting unsafe strain on the shoulder joint.
Dropping your hips down too quickly, reducing time under tension.

Breathing

Inhale as you lower your hip toward the floor; exhale as you drive your hips back up.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
