TRX Oblique Crunch

TRX Oblique Crunch

obliques, absTRX Suspension Trainer

The TRX oblique crunch pulls your knees diagonally toward your elbows from a plank. It intensely targets your obliques and deep core, building rotational trunk strength.

How to do it

1Place your feet in the TRX cradles and set up in a high plank on your hands.
2Lock your body into a straight line, keeping your core and glutes tight.
3Drive both knees diagonally toward one elbow, slightly rotating your hips.
4Smoothly extend back into a solid plank position under full control.
5Repeat the movement to the opposite side.

Common mistakes

Arching your lower back when resetting to the plank, dumping strain into your spine.
Piking your hips high into the air instead of pulling your knees into your body.
Rushing the movement with momentum, losing core engagement.

Breathing

Exhale as you pull your knees toward your chest, and inhale as you return to the plank.

Make it harder or easier

To make it easier, perform the movement from a forearm plank or shorten your knee drive. To make it harder, pause for one second at peak contraction.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
