TRX Inverted Row

TRX Inverted Row

lats, biceps, rear deltsTRX Suspension Trainer

The TRX Inverted Row builds upper-body strength by targeting your lats, rear delts, and biceps from a reclined position, promoting upright posture.

How to do it

1Grab the handles, lie back underneath the TRX anchor, and extend your arms.
2Dig your heels into the floor, squeeze your glutes, and brace your core in a straight plank.
3Pull your chest up to the handles by driving your elbows back and squeezing your shoulder blades.
4Pause briefly at the top, feeling a full contraction in your back muscles.
5Lower yourself back down with control until your arms are fully extended.

Common mistakes

Sagging or arching at the waist, breaking your body line and relaxing your core.
Pulling purely with your arms without retracting your shoulder blades, missing lat activation.
Dropping down fast, creating harsh jerking stress on your joints.

Breathing

Exhale as you pull your chest up to the handles. Inhale as you lower down with control.

Make it harder or easier

To make it easier, walk your feet back to stand more upright.
To make it harder, walk your feet forward or elevate your feet on a box.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
