TRX Incline Push-Up

TRX Incline Push-Up

Lower Chest, Shoulders, TricepsTRX Suspension Trainer

A bodyweight push-up targeting your chest, shoulders, and triceps with your hands holding TRX handles and feet grounded. The unstable straps force your core and stabilizer muscles to work hard.

How to do it

1Grab the TRX handles, face away from the anchor point, and lean your body forward.
2Set your feet hip-width apart and establish a solid straight line from head to heels.
3Inhale as you bend your elbows and lower your chest toward the handles, keeping the straps steady.
4Ensure the TRX straps do not rub against your shoulders or forearms during the rep.
5Exhale as you press back up until your arms are fully extended, keeping your core tight.

Common mistakes

Arching your lower back or piking your hips — breaks body alignment and disengages your core.
Straps rubbing against your arms — signals an improper arm angle and destabilizes your press.
Dropping fast without control — increases the risk of shoulder joint strain.

Breathing

Inhale as you lower your body forward; exhale as you press yourself away.

Make it harder or easier

To make it easier, step forward to make your body angle more upright.
To make it harder, step your feet farther back to increase the lean angle.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
