TRX Incline Chest Press

TRX Incline Chest Press

Upper chest, front delts, tricepsTRX Suspension Trainer

Standing upper-body pressing movement targeting the upper chest, front delts, and triceps while heavily engaging your core to keep a rigid plank.

How to do it

1Face away from the TRX anchor, grab the handles, and lean forward slightly.
2Extend your arms in front of your chest, keeping full tension on the straps.
3Brace your core and glutes to maintain a straight body line from head to heels.
4Slowly bend your elbows at a 45-degree angle to your body, lowering your chest toward the handles.
5Lower down until you feel a comfortable stretch across your chest.
6Press forcefully through your chest and triceps to return to the starting position.

Common mistakes

Letting the straps rub against your arms or shoulders, indicating an incorrect bar path or loose straps.
Sagging at the hips due to a weak core brace, putting excess pressure on the lower back.
Flaring elbows out too wide, straining the shoulder joints and reducing pressing power.

Breathing

Inhale as you lower your chest toward the handles. Exhale as you press yourself back up.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
