TRX Body Saw

TRX Body Saw

Core, Shoulders, TricepsTRX Suspension Trainer

A static-dynamic core exercise strengthening deep abdominal and shoulder stabilizers. Requires intense focus and precise plank alignment.

How to do it

1Place your feet in the TRX straps and get into a forearm plank position, forming a straight line.
2Lock your lower back in a neutral position by squeezing your core and glutes tight.
3Smoothly push your body backward by opening up the angle at your shoulders.
4Reach the furthest point you can control, then pull your body back forward into the starting plank.
5Keep a steady movement tempo and don't let your hips sag at any point.

Common mistakes

Arching or sagging your lower back as you push backward, overloading your spine.
Piking your hips upward, which takes work away from your abdominal muscles.
Sawing back too far without control, causing you to break form and lose balance.

Breathing

Breathe rhythmically: inhale as you shift backward; exhale as you pull your body forward.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
