TRX Push-Up with Knee Tuck

TRX Push-Up with Knee Tuck

Chest, Shoulders, Triceps, CoreTRX Suspension Trainer

A dynamic combo pairing suspended push-ups with a knee tuck. Strengthens the chest and shoulders while heavily engaging your entire core.

How to do it

1Place your feet in the TRX straps, set up in a push-up position on straight arms, and lock out your body.
2Bend your elbows and lower your chest to the floor in a standard push-up.
3Press through the floor back up to the top plank position.
4Immediately pull both knees toward your chest by contracting your abs.
5Smoothly extend your legs back out to a plank before starting the next rep.

Common mistakes

Arching your lower back during the push-up, placing dangerous strain on your spine.
Using momentum to swing your knees in, taking work away from your abs.
Flaring your elbows too wide out to the sides, stressing your shoulder joints.

Breathing

Inhale as you lower into the push-up, exhale as you press up, and exhale again as you tuck your knees.

Make it harder or easier

To regress, perform a knee tuck every two push-ups instead of every rep.
To progress, add a hold at the peak of the knee tuck.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
