TRX Decline Chest Press
Lower chest, front delts, tricepsTRX Suspension Trainer
Bodyweight pressing variation targeting the lower chest, front delts, and triceps, adjustable by altering your body angle.
How to do it
1Grab the TRX handles, face away from the anchor point, and lean your body forward.
2Brace your core and glutes, extending your arms out in front with your body in a rigid line.
3Inhale as you bend your elbows under control, lowering your chest toward the handles.
4Allow your torso to descend slightly lower than standard chest press depth to bias the lower chest.
5Exhale and press through your chest and triceps to return to the start.
Common mistakes
Arching your lower back, taking tension off the core and overloading the lumbar spine.
Straps rubbing against your shoulders, decreasing stability and causing friction.
Flaring elbows out wide, placing excess strain on the shoulder joints.
Breathing
Inhale as you bend your arms and lower down. Exhale as you push yourself back up.
This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
