TRX Twisting Crunch
Abs, ObliquesTRX Suspension Trainer
TRX rotational crunches build rectus abdominis and oblique strength. This movement combines trunk flexion with rotation, requiring strong total-body control.
How to do it
1Place your feet in the TRX straps and lock into a high plank.
2Keep your body straight and core tight to maintain a stable base.
3Drive your knees toward your chest while rotating your hips and knees to one side.
4Hold the twisted crunch for a moment, squeezing your obliques.
5Slowly extend back to a straight plank, then repeat on the opposite side.
Common mistakes
Jerking through the rotation, increasing the risk of strain and loss of balance.
Letting your lower back sag on the return, shifting load from abs to the lumbar spine.
Piking your hips high without bending your knees, changing the target movement mechanics.
Breathing
Exhale as you pull your knees in and twist. Inhale as you return to the plank position.
This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
