TRX Cossack Squat

TRX Cossack Squat

Quads, glutes, adductors, hamstringsTRX Suspension Trainer

A unilateral TRX exercise that builds hip mobility and leg strength. Hits the quads, glutes, and hamstrings while giving the inner thighs a deep stretch.

How to do it

1Grab the TRX handles, stand tall, and set your feet wider than shoulder-width apart.
2Shift your weight onto one leg and sink into a deep side squat, keeping your opposite leg straight.
3Pivot your straight leg onto its heel with toes pointing up to stretch your adductors.
4Keep your chest up, drive through the heel of your working leg, and power back up to standing.
5Repeat the movement on the opposite side.

Common mistakes

Lifting the heel of your working foot, putting bad stress on your knee joint.
Rounding your lower back at the bottom, losing pelvic control and straining your spine.
Pulling heavily with your arms, taking the work away from your legs.

Breathing

Inhale as you lower into the squat; exhale as you push back up to standing.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
