TRX Archer Push-Up

TRX Archer Push-Up

Chest, Triceps, ShouldersTRX Suspension Trainer

An advanced asymmetric TRX push-up variant that loads one side of your chest and shoulders at a time. It develops unilateral pressing power, shoulder stability, and core strength.

How to do it

1Grasp the TRX handles, face away from the anchor point, and lean your straight body forward.
2Lower down by bending one elbow into a push-up while extending the opposite arm straight out to the side.
3Lower as far as comfortable, keeping your body rigid without letting your hips twist.
4Press forcefully through the bent arm to drive your body back up to the start position.
5Alternate sides on the next rep or complete all reps on one arm before switching.

Common mistakes

Twisting your hips or shoulders — reduces chest targeting and strains the back.
Sagging through the midsection due to poor core engagement.
Dropping rapidly without controlling strap tension and instability.

Breathing

Inhale as you lower your body down; exhale as you press back up to the start.

Make it harder or easier

To make it easier, step your feet forward to make your body angle more upright.
To make it harder, lengthen the straps and step back to get closer to parallel with the floor.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
