Torso Rotation Machine

Torso Rotation Machine

ObliquesTorso Rotation Machine

The torso rotation machine isolates the obliques from a seated position, preventing momentum and leg drive to safely build core strength.

How to do it

1Sit in the machine and adjust the pads so your hips and chest are firmly locked in place.
2Grasp the handles, sit tall, and maintain a neutral lower spine.
3Smoothly rotate your torso to the side by engaging your obliques.
4Pause for a second at peak contraction to feel the core burn.
5Slowly return to the center starting position under full control.

Common mistakes

Yanking with your arms instead of rotating from your core.
Over-rotating past your comfortable mobility range, stressing your lumbar spine.
Lifting your glutes off the seat mid-rep, breaking torso lock.

Breathing

Exhale as you rotate your torso to the side; inhale as you control it back to center.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
