TRX Leg Curl
Hamstrings, GlutesTRX Suspension Trainer
A hamstring and glute exercise performed in suspension straps. Strengthens the posterior chain while demanding solid core control.
How to do it
1Lie on your back, place your heels in the foot cradles, and extend your arms along your sides.
2Lift your hips off the floor so your body forms a straight line from shoulders to feet.
3Pull your heels toward your glutes by bending your knees, driving your hips up as you curl.
4Pause for a split second at peak contraction.
5Slowly extend your legs back to the start while keeping your hips elevated.
Common mistakes
Arching your lower back during the move, shifting work from the hamstrings to the lower back.
Letting your hips drop to the floor during reps, losing continuous tension.
Jerking your legs back with momentum instead of pulling with the hamstrings.
Breathing
Exhale as you pull your heels in toward you and inhale as you extend your legs back out.
Make it harder or easier
To make it easier, lower your hips to the floor and perform curls from there.
To make it harder, perform the exercise single-legged or raise your arms overhead.
This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
