Suspended Push-Up

Suspended Push-Up

Chest, Front Delts, Triceps, CoreTRX Straps or Rings

An advanced push-up variation with your feet suspended in straps, adding high instability. This movement demands tight coordination and heavily engages core stabilizers.

How to do it

1Secure your feet in the straps and get into a push-up position on extended arms.
2Form a rigid plank by squeezing your glutes, core, and legs tight.
3Inhale and lower your chest toward the floor under full control.
4Keep your body balanced and prevent the straps from swinging.
5Exhale and press yourself back up into a stable plank position.

Common mistakes

Sagging at the hips or arching the lower back — causes heavy, unwanted stress on the spine.
Swinging or losing control of the straps — leads to loss of balance and risk of falling.
Cutting the depth short or moving jerkily — reduces chest activation and exercise efficiency.

Breathing

Inhale as you lower your body to the floor. Exhale as you drive up to the top plank position.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
