Suspended Lunge
Quads, Glutes, Hamstrings, CoreTRX Straps
The TRX lunge is a unilateral movement that builds leg strength and core stability. The unstable anchor challenges your balance while keeping axial load off the spine.
How to do it
1Place one foot in the TRX strap, step your working leg forward, and stand tall.
2Brace your core and focus your gaze forward to maintain balance.
3Lower under control, bending your front knee while letting the back leg slide rearward.
4Descend to a comfortable depth, keeping your front knee aligned over your toes.
5Drive through your front heel to return to the starting position under control.
Common mistakes
Leaning too far forward and rounding your spine due to a loss of balance.
Letting the front knee collapse inward during the squat movement.
Putting too much weight into the suspended back leg instead of driving with the front leg.
Breathing
Inhale as you lower into the lunge; exhale as you push back up.
