Standing High-to-Low Cable Fly
Lower ChestCable Crossover
An isolation exercise designed to target the lower chest. High-to-low path provides smooth tension and joint-friendly mechanical alignment.
How to do it
1Stand between the high pulleys, grab the handles, step forward, and lean slightly at the torso.
2Lock a soft bend in your elbows and brace your core.
3Exhale and sweep your hands down and together in an arc toward your hips.
4Bring your hands together at the bottom, squeezing your lower chest hard.
5Inhale and control your arms back out to shoulder height.
Common mistakes
Swinging your torso back and forth — reduces workload on the chest.
Changing your elbow bend mid-rep — shifts tension onto your triceps.
Letting your hands travel too high during the stretch — puts unwanted stress on the shoulders.
Breathing
Exhale as you sweep your hands down; inhale as you open your arms back out.
Make it harder or easier
To make it easier, reduce the weight. To make it harder, pause at the bottom contraction on every rep.
