Single-Arm Kettlebell Front Rack Carry

Single-Arm Kettlebell Front Rack Carry

Core, Traps, Shoulders, ForearmsKettlebell

The single-arm kettlebell front rack carry is a core, trap, and shoulder stability builder. Holding weight on just one side forces your body to resist leaning and twisting, building trunk endurance and posture under load.

How to do it

1Clean the kettlebell to the front rack position, resting the bell against your forearm with your palm supporting the handle.
2Keep your elbow tucked tight to your ribs and your forearm nearly vertical.
3Stand tall, square your shoulders, and brace your core tight.
4Walk forward at a steady pace using medium strides, keeping your torso completely upright.
5Cover the distance with smooth steps, keeping your body from swaying side to side.
6Carefully set the kettlebell down, then switch sides and repeat.

Common mistakes

Leaning your torso to the side, breaking balance and overloading the spine unevenly.
Flaring your elbow outward, losing structural support and straining the shoulder joint.
Holding your breath while walking, which causes rapid fatigue and spikes blood pressure.

Breathing

Breathe rhythmically in time with your steps throughout the entire walk. Never hold your breath.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
