Parallette Push-Up
Chest, Front Delts, TricepsParallettes
Push-ups on parallettes increase your range of motion compared to standard floor push-ups. The neutral grip also relieves pressure from your wrist joints.
How to do it
1Place parallettes parallel at shoulder-width apart and take a neutral grip.
2Get into a top plank position, forming a straight line from your head to your heels.
3Inhale and lower yourself smoothly, letting your chest drop past hand level thanks to the extra depth.
4Exhale, push hard off the parallettes, and drive back up to the start.
5Keep your body rigid at the top without sagging through your shoulders.
Common mistakes
Arching your lower back — puts dangerous strain on the lumbar spine.
Flaring your elbows straight out to the sides — overloads the shoulder joints.
Sinking too deep with poor flexibility — risks injuring shoulder ligaments.
Breathing
Inhale as you lower your body. Exhale as you push back up to the top position.
This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
