Plate Pinch Carry
Forearms, Grip, CoreWeight Plates
A loaded carry using a pinch grip to hold weight plates. It builds hand and forearm strength while challenging core stability with moderate axial load.
How to do it
1Grip one or two weight plates using a pinch grip, pinching them between your fingers and thumb.
2Stand tall, pull your shoulders down, and hold the weights at your side.
3Walk forward with smooth, controlled steps, keeping your posture upright.
4Keep your shoulders level and don't let the weight pull you to one side.
5Walk the target distance and set the plate down carefully.
Common mistakes
Slouching and letting the shoulders round forward, putting unwanted stress on the spine.
Swaying your torso while walking, which loses control and relies on momentum.
Resting the plate against your thigh, taking load off your grip.
Breathing
Breathe steadily and rhythmically with your footsteps—don't hold your breath.
Make it harder or easier
To regress, use a lighter plate or shorten the carry distance.
To progress, pinch two plates together with the smooth sides facing out.
