March in Place
Quads, Hip Flexors, CalvesBodyweight
A low-impact cardio move that activates your quads, hip flexors, and calves. Perfect for a warm-up to get your blood flowing.
How to do it
1Stand tall with good posture and relaxed shoulders.
2Drive your right knee up to a comfortable height, bending it at a 90-degree angle.
3Lower your right foot softly and immediately drive your left knee up.
4Swing your arms naturally in opposition to your legs.
5Keep marching in place with a steady, comfortable rhythm.
Common mistakes
Slouching or leaning forward as you lift your knees, which strains your back.
Stomping heavily on your feet, increasing the impact on your joints.
Holding your breath, which causes quick fatigue and spikes blood pressure.
Breathing
Keep your breathing natural and rhythmic, matching the pace of your steps.
Make it harder or easier
To make it easier, keep your knees low and pace slow; to make it harder, drive your knees higher or speed up.
This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
