Glute Drive Machine

GlutesGlute Machine

A dedicated hip thrust machine for isolated glute development from your back. It lets you heavy-load your glutes without putting vertical pressure on your spine.

How to do it

1Lie back against the upper pad, strap the belt securely across your hips, and plant your feet flat on the footplate.
2Release the safety handles while keeping your shoulder blades pinned against the backrest.
3Drive your hips upward by aggressively squeezing your glutes.
4Pause at the top for a second, forming a straight line from your knees to your shoulders.
5Lower your hips back down under control without fully relaxing your glutes at the bottom.

Common mistakes

Arching your lower back at the top instead of extending your hips with your glutes.
Stance too narrow or feet misaligned, shifting work onto your quads.
Lifting your heels off the footplate during the drive.

Breathing

Exhale as you drive your hips up; inhale as you lower down.

Make it harder or easier

To make it easier, lighten the weight. To make it harder, hold a 2–3 second pause at peak contraction.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
