Lying Quad Stretch
QuadsBodyweight
Side-lying stretch for the front of the thigh. Isolate your quad with complete control and zero lower-back strain.
How to do it
1Lie on your side, bottom leg straight, resting your head on your bent bottom arm.
2Bend your top knee and grab your foot or ankle with your top hand.
3Gently pull your heel toward your glute, keeping your knees close together.
4Press your hips slightly forward to feel a soft stretch down the front of your thigh.
5Hold for a few seconds, release, and flip over to the other side.
Common mistakes
Arching your lower back as you pull the leg back, placing unwanted strain on your spine.
Flaring your top knee high up, losing tension in the quad.
Yanking hard on your foot, overloading the knee joint.
Breathing
Inhale in the starting position, exhale as you smoothly pull your foot to your glute.
