Low-to-High Cable Crossover

Low-to-High Cable Crossover

Upper ChestCable Crossover

Designed to target the upper chest. The low pulley setup creates a bottom-up trajectory that demands high control throughout the lift.

How to do it

1Set the cable pulleys to the lowest position and attach single handles.
2Grab the handles with an underhand grip, step forward, and put a soft bend in your elbows.
3Take a stable stance with a straight back and slightly bent knees.
4Smoothly pull the handles up and forward, bringing your hands together at upper-chest height.
5Pause for a moment at the top, then lower the handles back down under control.

Common mistakes

Jerking your torso to lift the weight, cutting off chest engagement and straining your spine.
Bending your elbows too much, turning the exercise into a biceps curl.
Raising your hands too high above chin level, shifting emphasis onto your front delts.

Breathing

Exhale as you lift and bring your hands together, and inhale as you return to the bottom position.

Make it harder or easier

To scale down, reduce the weight and shorten your range of motion; to make it harder, hold the top position for two seconds.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
