Light Biceps Curl

Light Biceps Curl

BicepsLight dumbbells or band

A classic movement using light weights or a band to target the biceps, strengthen arm flexors, and support elbow joint stability.

How to do it

1Stand tall holding light dumbbells or band handles at your sides with palms facing forward.
2Glue your elbows to your torso and lock them in place.
3Smoothly curl the weight up toward your shoulders by squeezing your biceps.
4Pause for a second at top, feeling the contraction in the target muscle.
5Slowly lower back down to the start position under control.

Common mistakes

Swinging your torso to lift the weight, robbing your biceps of work and straining your lower back.
Drifting your elbows forward or flaring them out, shifting work to your front delts.
Dropping your arms too fast, skipping the eccentric strength phase.

Breathing

Exhale as you curl the weight up, inhale as you smoothly lower back down.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
