Landmine Twist

Landmine Twist

Obliques, absBarbell, Landmine Attachment

Standing rotational core drill using a barbell landmine setup. Develops rotational core strength and control while keeping spinal loading low.

How to do it

1Face the landmine, stand with feet wider than shoulder-width, and grip the end of the bar at chest height.
2Extend your arms out in front with a soft bend in your elbows and brace your core.
3Arc the bar smoothly down toward one hip while pivoting your trail foot.
4Rotate the bar back up through center using your abs.
5Repeat to the opposite side while staying balanced.

Common mistakes

Moving your arms independently from your torso, cutting ab engagement.
Keeping your feet planted flat, twisting your knee joints.
Letting the weight drop fast at the bottom without controlling the eccentric phase.

Breathing

Inhale as you lower the bar down toward your hip. Exhale as you drive the bar back up to center.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
