Kneeling Cable Chest Press

Chest, Front Delts, Triceps, CoreCable Crossover

A kneeling cable press that isolates the chest and front delts. Stripping away leg drive prevents cheating and cuts down spinal loading, forcing your core to keep you stable.

How to do it

1Kneel between the cable stacks, holding the handles at chest height.
2Stay tall, squeeze your glutes, and brace your core with upright posture.
3Press the handles straight out in front of your chest until your arms extend.
4Squeeze your chest muscles hard at full extension for one second.
5Return the handles back to the start under control, letting your chest stretch open.

Common mistakes

Swinging your torso back and forth to momentum the weight forward.
Arching your lower back due to weak core engagement.
Letting the cable stack snap your arms back too quickly on the return.

Breathing

Exhale as you press the handles together in front; inhale as you return to the starting position.
