Kettlebell Suitcase Carry
Core, Forearms, Traps, GlutesKettlebell
The suitcase carry is an asymmetrical core builder that targets your obliques, forearms, traps, and glutes. Carrying weight on one side while walking upright forces your lateral core to resist leaning under moderate spinal load.
How to do it
1Stand next to the kettlebell, hinge down with a flat back, and grip the weight in one hand.
2Stand upright, level your shoulders, and brace your core.
3Walk forward at a steady pace, holding the bell slightly off your hip.
4Keep your torso completely vertical without leaning to either side.
5Finish your distance, set the weight down, switch hands, and repeat.
Common mistakes
Tilting your torso to the side to compensate for the weight.
Resting the kettlebell against your leg, reducing core engagement.
Shrugging the loaded shoulder up toward your ear.
Breathing
Maintain a natural, steady breathing rhythm matched to your steps.
Make it harder or easier
To regress, use a lighter kettlebell or shorten the walking distance.
To progress, grab a heavier bell or walk slower with deliberate tempo.
