Kettlebell Snatch to Push Press
Shoulders, Traps, QuadsKettlebell
This dynamic combination move explosively drives the kettlebell overhead, developing shoulder strength, leg drive, and total-body stability.
How to do it
1Set the kettlebell in front of you, hinge at the hips, bend your knees, and grab the handle with one hand.
2Hike the kettlebell back between your legs, then use leg power to drive it upward close to your body.
3At shoulder height, dip softly under the kettlebell to catch it in a stable rack position.
4Perform a quick dip with your legs and explosively push press the kettlebell overhead to a locked arm.
5Lock out overhead, then lower the kettlebell under control to your shoulder and down to the floor.
Common mistakes
Lifting purely with arm strength instead of leg drive, overloading the shoulder joint.
Arching your lower back excessively when locking out overhead.
Banging the kettlebell against your forearm due to a rigid grip instead of a smooth turn.
Breathing
Inhale before starting the movement, and exhale as you push press the weight overhead.
This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
