Kettlebell Front Squat

Quads, Glutes, CoreKettlebell

The kettlebell front squat strengthens the quads and glutes while engaging your core and back to maintain an upright posture.

How to do it

1Stand upright with feet slightly wider than shoulder-width, holding the kettlebell at chest level.
2Brace your core and lock your elbows down to keep your shoulders stable.
3Lower into a squat by bending your knees and hips, keeping your torso as upright as possible.
4Squat until your thighs are parallel to the floor or lower, keeping your feet flat.
5Drive through your feet to stand back up, fully extending your legs.

Common mistakes

Collapsing your knees inward on the way up, increasing injury risk.
Leaning too far forward, shifting the load into your lower back.
Dropping your elbows and letting the kettlebell drift forward, ruining balance and overtaxing shoulders.

Breathing

Inhale on the way down, and exhale smoothly as you drive up.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
