Incline Machine Chest Press

Incline Machine Chest Press

Upper Chest, Front Delts, TricepsIncline Chest Press Machine

An incline press machine built to target your upper pecs, front delts, and triceps. The upward arc isolates the upper chest with great overall torso stability.

How to do it

1Set the seat height so the handles sit just above collarbone level.
2Sit back, pull your shoulder blades together, and lock your back and hips into the pad.
3Grab the handles with a medium or wide grip and keep your shoulder blades packed.
4Press the handles up and slightly forward, extending your arms smoothly.
5Pause briefly at the top without locking out your elbows.
6Lower the weight back down under control without dropping it.

Common mistakes

Letting your shoulder blades slide forward off the backrest, destabilizing your shoulder joints.
Flaring your elbows straight out to the sides, placing dangerous strain on your rotator cuff.
Bouncing the weight at the bottom, losing muscle tension and raising injury risk.

Breathing

Exhale as you push the handles up. Inhale as you lower them back under control.

Make it harder or easier

To scale down, shorten your range of motion.
To scale up, hold a short pause at the bottom stretch without resting the weight.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
