Incline Hex Press
Upper Chest, Front Delts, TricepsTwo Dumbbells, Incline Bench
Performing the squeeze press on an incline bench shifts the primary focus to the upper chest. It helps you target the upper fibers with minimal stress on your shoulders.
How to do it
1Set the bench to a 30–45 degree incline, sit down, and press the dumbbells together in front of your chest.
2Lean back against the bench, pull your shoulder blades together, and anchor your feet on the floor.
3Inhale and lower the squeezed dumbbells under control toward your upper chest.
4Exhale and press the dumbbells up without separating them, keeping a slight bend in your elbows at the top.
5Pause briefly at the top, holding peak tension in your chest.
Common mistakes
Setting the bench incline too high — shifts the load from the chest to the front delts.
Losing contact between the dumbbells — reduces inner chest fiber engagement.
Flaring or shrugging shoulders forward at the top — destabilizes the shoulder joint.
Breathing
Inhale as you control the movement down to your chest. Exhale as you smoothly press the weight up.
