Hammer Strength Chest Press

Hammer Strength Chest Press

Chest, Front Delts, TricepsHammer Strength Chest Press

A chest press machine designed to target your pecs, front delts, and triceps. The fixed arc eliminates balancing issues so you can drive hard with minimal joint stress.

How to do it

1Adjust the seat height so the handles line up with mid-chest level.
2Press your back and head against the pad, plant your feet flat, and grab the handles.
3Press the handles straight out, extending your arms without locking your elbows hard.
4Hold the squeeze for a second at full contraction.
5Slowly lower the handles back under control, feeling a deep stretch across your pecs.

Common mistakes

Lifting your back or shoulders off the seat, shifting work to your lower back.
Snapping your elbows locked at the top, putting unwanted stress on the joints.
Flaring your elbows too high, stressing your shoulders instead of your chest.

Breathing

Exhale as you press the handles out. Inhale as you slowly bring them back.

Make it harder or easier

To make it easier, drop the weight and shorten your range of motion slightly.
To make it harder, add a two-second hold in the extended position.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
