Ring Fallout
Abs, Core, Shoulders, ChestGymnastic Rings
A dynamic core stability exercise performed on unstable rings. It builds abdominal strength and shoulder stability as you extend your arms overhead.
How to do it
1Grip the rings, lean forward slightly with straight arms, and set your feet.
2Squeeze your glutes and brace your core, forming a straight line from head to heels.
3Slowly reach the rings forward and overhead, lowering your torso toward the floor.
4Descend only as far as you can maintain a rigid plank without arching your spine.
5Press through your shoulders and core to pull the rings back under your chest.
Common mistakes
Flaring the rings out wide instead of reaching straight overhead, shifting the target load.
Letting your hips sag and arching your lower back as you reach forward.
Bending your elbows to shorten the movement, turning it into a push-up.
Breathing
Inhale as you reach the rings forward. Exhale forcefully as you press back to the starting position.
Make it harder or easier
To regress, set the rings higher or step forward to reduce the body angle.
To progress, lower the rings closer to the floor.
