Fat Grip Curl
Biceps, ForearmsFat Grip Dumbbell
Biceps curls using a thick bar or fat grips to destroy your biceps, forearms, and hands by forcing a harder grip squeeze.
How to do it
1Stand tall holding thick-grip dumbbells with an underhand or neutral grip.
2Pin your elbows to your sides and set your shoulder blades.
3Exhale and curl the weights up toward your chest without swinging.
4Pause at the top for a second, squeezing your biceps hard.
5Lower the weights under control without relaxing your grip.
Common mistakes
Swinging your torso, taking tension off the biceps and loading the lower back.
Flaring or drifting your elbows forward or back, cutting the range of motion.
Loosening your grip at the bottom, risking dropping the weight.
Breathing
Inhale as you lower the weights, exhale as you curl them up.
Make it harder or easier
To make it easier, drop the weight or use a thinner grip. To make it harder, slow down the lowering phase to 3–4 seconds.
This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
