EZ-Bar Curl
BicepsEZ Barbell
A standing bicep curl using an angled bar. The EZ-bar shape places wrists in a more natural position, taking stress off the wrist joints.
How to do it
1Stand tall, feet shoulder-width apart, grabbing the EZ-bar with an underhand grip on the angled bends.
2Pin your elbows to your sides and keep your torso completely still.
3Exhale and curl the bar up toward upper chest level smoothly.
4Pause for a second at the top to squeeze your biceps.
5Inhale and slowly lower the bar back down, controlling the entire path.
Common mistakes
Swinging your body — robs work from the biceps and overloads your lower back.
Drifting your elbows forward at the top — loses constant tension on the muscle.
Letting the bar drop fast without resisting gravity — increases injury risk.
Breathing
Exhale as you curl the weight up. Inhale smoothly as you lower back to the start.
This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
