Dynamic Quad Stretch

QuadsBodyweight

A dynamic standing stretch that prepares the front of your thighs for work. Performed alternating sides to build quad elasticity.

How to do it

1Stand tall with good posture and a neutral pelvis.
2Bend one leg back at the knee and grab your ankle with the same-side hand.
3Gently pull your heel toward your glute, keeping your knees close together without arching your lower back.
4Hold for one second, release your foot, and repeat on the other side.

Common mistakes

Excessively arching your lower back as you pull your foot, which diffuses the quad stretch.
Letting your bent knee flare out away from your standing leg, reducing stretch effectiveness.
Yanking abruptly on your foot, which can strain your knee joint.

Breathing

Breathe naturally and rhythmically, exhaling as you gently pull into the thigh stretch.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
