Dynamic Hamstring Leg Swings
Hamstrings, GlutesBodyweight
A dynamic movement to gently warm up your hamstrings and glutes. Helps improve hip mobility and prepares your legs for heavier work. Performed one side at a time.
How to do it
1Stand upright with your chest up, holding onto a wall or chair for balance if needed.
2Shift your weight onto one leg, keeping a slight soft bend in that knee.
3Smoothly swing your active leg back, then sweep it forward in a controlled movement.
4Swing the leg forward to a comfortable height, feeling a gentle stretch through your hamstring.
5Allow your leg to swing back with momentum while keeping your torso strictly still.
Common mistakes
Rounding your lower back as you swing forward, placing excessive stress on your spine.
Swinging too aggressively or jerking the leg, which can strain your hamstrings.
Rotating your hips during the swing, reducing target tension on the hamstring.
Breathing
Breathe freely and rhythmically, exhaling naturally as your leg swings forward.
