Cable Kneeling Reverse Crunch
AbsCable Crossover
This exercise isolates the rectus abdominis using low pulley resistance. It teaches controlled posterior pelvic tilt without heavy spinal compression.
How to do it
1Kneel facing the low pulley and secure the ankle straps to your legs.
2Drop onto your forearms to set a stable base and anchor your upper body.
3Initiate the movement by tucking your pelvis and pulling your knees to your chest with your abs.
4Pause for one second at peak contraction.
5Slowly extend back out under control without letting your abs relax.
Common mistakes
Jerking your legs with momentum, which unloads your abs and risks strain.
Over-arching your lower back at the starting point.
Pulling through your hip flexors instead of curling your pelvis with your abs.
Breathing
Exhale as you pull your knees toward your chest; inhale as you smoothly extend back out.
Make it harder or easier
To make it easier, drop the weight or reduce your range of motion.
To make it harder, hold the peak squeeze at the top for 2–3 seconds.
This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
