Incline Cable Press

Upper chest, Front delts, TricepsCable Machine, Incline Bench

An incline cable press focusing on the upper chest, front delts, and triceps. Cables ensure constant tension throughout the entire movement.

How to do it

1Set an incline bench at 30–45 degrees between the pulleys and grab the handles.
2Sit back with your spine flat against the pad and feet planted, handles at upper chest level.
3Press the handles up and slightly forward along the line of the incline.
4Keep a soft bend in your elbows at the top without locking out.
5Lower the handles slowly back down, feeling a stretch in your upper pecs.

Common mistakes

Setting the bench angle too steep, shifting the load onto your shoulders.
Arching your lower back off the bench, altering the press angle and stressing your spine.
Dropping the handles quickly without control, reducing safety and effectiveness.

Breathing

Exhale as you press the handles up, inhale as you return to the starting position.

This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
