Decline Cable Press
Lower chest, Front delts, TricepsCable Machine, Incline Bench
A decline cable bench press designed to target the lower pecs, front delts, and triceps while reducing shoulder joint strain.
How to do it
1Set a decline bench centered between the cable stacks.
2Anchor your legs in the bench pads, lie down, and grab the handles.
3Press the handles from your lower chest straight up perpendicular to your torso.
4Bring your hands closer together at the top while keeping your shoulders down.
5Lower the handles under control back to your lower chest.
Common mistakes
Failing to secure your legs properly, risking slipping off the bench during the set.
Aggressively locking out your elbows at the top, overloading the joints.
Pressing the handles back toward your head, compromising shoulder safety.
Breathing
Exhale as you press the handles up, inhale as you lower them down with control.
