High Cable Crossover
Lower chestCable Crossover
An isolation exercise targeting the lower chest using high cable pulleys. It maintains constant tension on the muscles throughout the entire range of motion.
How to do it
1Stand centered between the pulleys, grab the high handles, and step forward to create tension.
2Hinge slightly forward at the hips, keeping your back flat and elbows soft.
3Drive your hands down and together in front of your hips in a sweeping motion.
4Squeeze your pecs hard for one second at the bottom.
5Control the handles back out and slightly up to chest height.
Common mistakes
Locking out your elbows completely, placing unsafe load on the joints.
Using momentum and swinging your torso, taking tension off the chest.
Letting your arms travel too far behind your torso, increasing shoulder injury risk.
Breathing
Exhale as you press the handles together, inhale as you return to the starting position.
This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
