Banded Monster Walk
Glutes, AbductorsResistance Band
Resistance band stepping drill that fires up the glutes and hip abductors for pelvic stability.
How to do it
1Place a resistance band around your shins and stand up straight.
2Soften your knees and hinge slightly at the hips into an athletic quarter-squat stance.
3Take a wide diagonal step forward and out, stretching the band.
4Step the trailing foot forward while keeping tension on the band.
5Walk forward for reps, then reverse the motion stepping backward.
Common mistakes
Bringing your feet too close together and losing band tension.
Allowing your knees to collapse inward as you step.
Standing up out of the squat stance or swaying your upper body.
Breathing
Keep your breath steady and relaxed throughout the set.
Make it harder or easier
Move the band above your knees to make it easier.
Move the band around your feet or use a heavier resistance band to increase difficulty.
This is general guidance, not a medical opinion. Listen to your body: if it hurts, stop. If you have an injury or a chronic condition, talk to a doctor first.
